Nishant Shah

Nishant Shah is Director Research at the Bangalore based Centre for Internet and Society. His doctoral work has been in the area of technology-mediated identities with specific focus on emerging information societies in the South. He has been the recipient of the Asia Scholarship Foundation for an advanced research fellowship to work at the Shanghai University in 2009. He has published research work in interdisciplinary journals and has also been designing and teaching courses for undergraduate and post graduate students, both within and outside of India since 5 years. His current work is in exploring the Youth-Technology relationships and their implications for the politics of our contemporary future. His interests remain at the intersection of internet, science, society, gender and culture.
